Red Carpet ready.

This past week has certainly created a buzz within the celebrity world, from the BRIT Award nominations to the Golden Globes award ceremony that was held on Sunday night. This means only one thing: as Rihanna would say, ‘Shine bright like a diamond’.

The red carpet brings out a whole host of glitz and glamour, from beautiful gowns to more low key approaches and the occasional Union Jack dress which, no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to pair up with any jewellery delights.

For the gowns diamonds are a must, whether draping from your ears, wrapped tightly around your finger, sitting perfectly around your neck, or by your side on your wrist. Whether you’re after subtle or statement there is always room for diamonds as, as our dearest Marilyn once said, they are a girls’ best friend.

Adele has been a favourite on the music scene for several years, catapulting to fame in 2011 with the release of her 21 album. Her beautifully written lyrics and unique voice created something truly exceptional and whether you love or hate her, you’ve got to admit we all cried to her stunning rendition of Someone Like You at the 2011 BRIT Awards.

It was here Adele showed off her classic and elegant style. Her stunning black velvet dress with sheer embellished sleeves triumphed with a pair of large diamond cluster rings that were equally as graceful as her dress. These statement earrings complimented her simple dress perfectly and, teamed with a classic up do, definitely earned their place on the stage.

Although always beautifully feminine, Adele often keeps her red-carpet attire relatively simple. Her choice of black makes for the perfect background for diamonds to really stand out and we hope to see this sophisticated style again at this years BRIT Awards where she has been nominated for Best British Single. With a simple yet elegant gown, we’d love to see her with a statement diamond ring like this silver and diamond cluster. This eye-catching ring would certainly stand out against her simple style and would be sure to turn heads on the red carpet.

Although Little Mix are not up for an award this year, we have no doubt they will be bringing their quirky and ultra cool style to the big night. Last year, the girls oozed geek chic with bow ties, shorts and a whole lot of colour, making Paul’s Boutique our ideal choice for these Little Mixers. We love their wild and brightly coloured watches, as well as their more subtle black and silver designs. There is sure to be something for every Paul’s Boutique girl, whether you’re looking for bright and bold or something a little more tame.

Pastels are set to be a huge fashion favourite this Spring/Summer and with our personalised jewellery service it is now easier than ever to create your own unique pieces of jewellery with stones and metals that are personal to you. This cushion cut green amethyst ring ties in with diamond detailing ties into the pastel trend perfectly and would be the ideal accompaniment to a neutral coloured dress.

If you’re looking to add a personal touch to a Valentines Day gift this year, be sure to take a look at our whole range of personalised jewellery. Order before January 27th to make sure it is wrapped and ready to give to your special someone.
