Spotted! TOWIE & The Wanted.

So unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you should know that The Only Way is Essex is back on our screens! With the first two episodes set in Vegas, it was obvious we were going to see the usual drama expected of the hit ITV2 series, teamed with a whole lot of fake tan and, if you hadn’t noticed, this season is sponsored by the very lovely and very ‘reem’ Sheen Watches, who we at H.Samuel are very proud to stock.

With catchy promo ads showcasing the latest Sheen watches being the VIP guest at a very TOWIE-esque party , Sheen is definitely a watch that will give your look a glamorous edge as, after all, The Only way is Everyday Elegance.

Not only are there some shiny new ads, we’re also keeping an eye on two of the shows leading ladies, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Billie Faiers, as we wait to see them sporting one of the three Sheen watches from the TOWIE collection.

I have to admit, I am certainly impartial to a little bling and can’t get enough of this stainless steel and crystal Sheen watch, perfect for adding a little glitz and glamour to your evening outfit, or for stand out day time style. Embellished with sparkling crystals made with Swarovski elements, it’s no surprise this watch has landed a starring role in the show.

If you’re looking for something with a little less crystal but still with every ounce of glamour, then why not opt for one of these striking Sheen watches, sure to bring a dash of TOWIE glam to your look.

And if that wasn’t enough excitement for you, we also saw Jay from The Wanted working one of our men’s leather bracelets. Men’s jewellery has been on the rise recently and we’re loving that some of our fave celebs are embracing this new trend. Which brings us onto ‘Mengagement’ rings... No I’m kidding, but that could definitely make for a great blog post! Keep on flying the flag for men’s jewellery guys and I can see Mengagement rings catching on in no time!

If you want to steal Jay’s style then add some masculine stainless steel and leather to your look with our range of men’s bracelets.

Want a slice of the celebrity lifestyle? Then we've got just the thing for you. Sheen have teamed up with us to bring you the ultimate VIP TOWIE experience. For a chance to win a £500 spree at Billie & Sam's Minnies boutique, a personal styling session with Billie Faiers herself, a luxury stay in a 4-star Essex hotel and a visit to the hottest night spot in Essex, Sugar Hut, enter here!

Stay Reem! ;) x

Favourite Fashion Week Looks

If, like us, you aren’t quite ready to completely let go of summer and trade in your sandals for scarves and gloves, then take a look at some of the trends we have seen emerge from the S/S’14 fashion week runways. Although designers often create collections that are bold, eccentric and usually difficult to pull off in our everyday looks, over the past few weeks this hasn’t been the case, as many designers have opted for a more toned down approach with looks that are a lot more wearable.

If you’re a girly girl at heart, then you will be pleased to hear that Christopher Bailey debuted a collection named ‘English Rose’ for Burberry Prorsum at London’s fashion week. The runway was overflowing with soft pastel shades, sparkling embellishments and feminine lace. Model Cara Delevigne looked truly stunning as she closed the show wearing a dusky pink pencil skirt, a cream top and a transparent cape finished with large sparkling silver studs. For a dash of femininity and elegant sparkle, then this stunning diamond flower ring  is perfect for giving your look a touch of ‘English Rose’ inspired elegance.

For something that’s a little bolder, bright and even neon colours were also prominent amongst the Fashion Week runways. During New York’s Fashion Week, Ralph Lauren proved that the neon trend isn’t going anywhere with his collection resembling a rainbow, in which models flooded the runway looking striking in head to toe colour. If you aren’t quite ready to flaunt an outfit that’s completely smothered in neon, then ease your way in and give your look a splash of colour with this vibrant yellow bracelet from guess.

Another collection that embraced the bold brights was Just Cavalli at Milan’s Fashion Week. Never one to play it safe, Roberto Cavalli is notorious for experimental graphics and distinctive designs, and his Just Cavalli S/S’14 line up lived up to expectation. Filled with colour and a stylish clash of patterns, his designs certainly make a statement, and his watch collection is no different. For stand out style, this extravagant gold tone Just Cavalli watch is perfect for a glamorous and fashion-forward look.

Love to Layer

Perhaps we were spoilt with all of the sunshine this year, but to me it seems as if the seasons have suddenly jumped straight from summer to winter and completely missed out autumn.  In this chilly weather there’s nothing better than wrapping up in lots of layers to keep cosy and warm, so we thought why not extend this must have winter trend into your jewellery collection?

Gone are the days of less is more, layering your jewellery and building up bold statement designs is a fun way to create new looks with some of your favourite pieces. We’ve been experimenting with chains and pendants to see what looks we can come up with and these are some of our favourites.

Chunky oversized pieces of jewellery are the perfect way to grab attention, but the fashion rules have changed and they no longer have to be worn alone. Mixing bold pendants with delicate chains or necklaces in different textures, will add a chic and on-trend finish to your outfit. We love this statement gold locket with a long belcher chain paired with a shorter gold rope chain to create an edgy and contemporary twist to two necklaces that would look simple and classic if worn alone.

We still can’t get over how stunning Miranda Kerr looked at her Vogue shoot wearing one of our gold St Christopher pendants, so we thought we would use her as our style inspiration for our next look.  As it is such a dainty necklace we chose to team it against a longer, thicker necklace with lots of texture. The contrast between the delicate St Christopher and the bold tassel pendant creates a striking look that’s perfect for everyday wear.

The layering trend doesn’t just stop at necklaces, stacking up bracelets has grown to become a fashion favourite when it comes to dressing up your wrist.  There are no ends to how experimental you can get with your look, whether you choose to mix chains with bangles, watches or friendship bracelets. We wanted to create a combination with glamour and elegance for an evening look. Our first choice was of course to go for something with a dash of sparkle, so we opted for this stunning crystal set bangle from Radiance made with Swarovski® crystal elements. To finish the look off we kept it simple and teamed it with a delicate white gold chain and a bracelet with a trendy cross charm.

Nikki Lissoni

Here at H.Samuel we love discovering new brands, especially when they are as exciting as Nikki Lissoni. The collection brings us an entirely new fashion concept in the form of stunning pendants that you can play around with to achieve your perfect piece. The range consists of three separate parts; a pendant holder, a disc and a chain, all of which are completely interchangeable, giving us endless choice and making finding the perfect accessory to go with your look that little bit easier. The concept is inspired by an age-old tradition of disc giving to signify love, luck and memories, so not only are these a fashion must-have for any trendsetter; they also make for a meaningful gift. Creating a necklace couldn’t be simpler and takes just three easy steps.

Step One:
Start building your design by choosing a chain, available in a range of lengths, styles and colours. Go for either a sleek silver tone, a warm gold, or create a feminine look with the rose gold-plated edition. For a trendy boho inspired look, begin your creation with a longer chain, like this 80cm gold-plated chain

Step Two:
For the second step you need to select your pendant holder. With three sizes available you have the option to go for a large stand out piece, a classic medium or a small more subtle necklace, perfect for everyday wear. Not only can you choose a size, but are again able to select your desired colour, with each holder being engraved with the Nikki Lissoni name for a stylish finish. Complement your chain and select a matching gold coloured holder, or for a fashion forward edge why not experiment and mix metal tones with a small silver holder for an elegant two tone look.

Step Three:
Finally, you need to select a relevant sized disc from the beautiful collection, to clip into your pendant holder and complete your Nikki Lissoni creation. With the choice of sparkling clear or coloured crystals, to chic and simple coins in a variety of metal tones, there is something for every style, and you can keep building your collection until you have a disc to suit any occasion. Complete your two tone necklace with this small, gold-plated sparkling flower disc for a glamorous and refined evening look.

Watch out for new additions to the Nikki Lissoni collection coming soon to H.Samuel!

Crisp White

For decades we have seen the colour black lead the way within the fashion world, and the versatile LBD has been our favourite go-to outfit. But of late there has been a total fashion white-out: on both the catwalk and the red carpet, celebrities have ditched their sultry blacks and are dressing head to toe in pure white for a look that is both elegant and chic.

Khloe Kardashian and Made in Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh have both been spotted embracing this trend at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice awards and the British Academy Television Awards, looking equally as glamorous in bright white dresses and matching accessories. An ideal hue for this season - cool, clean cut and refreshing - white is perfect for showing off those hard earned tans and has even featured in the fashion bible itself, Vogue. Although it may be hard to trade in your LBD for an LWD (Little White Dress), its crisp bright colour will definitely make you stand out from the crowd, and there is much more to play around with in regards to form, fabric and of course, accessories.

Although wearing white looks stunning, it isn’t exactly the most practical colour to wear. If you’re anything like me, then putting on an item of white clothing is asking for some sort of stain. You can overcome the practicality issues of this, without avoiding the trend completely, by incorporating stylish white accessories into your look. A watch is ideal as you can get a lot of variation, whether you want something simple, bold, or something with a dash of sparkle. For a watch that can see you through from day to night, this dazzling white watch from Christian Lacroix will give your outfit a trendy finishing touch.

For those of you that aren’t quite as clumsy as I am and want to fully embrace this look, teaming a structured white dress and white heels with some bold accessories can create a chic, modern look. This sleek and contemporary white leather bangle from Guess has been given a statement gold toned clasp to give striking simplicity to your outfit.

For a more delicate adaptation of this trend, opt for accessorising with pearls. The iridescent shade of pearls allow subtle hints of colour to show through, and adds a bit more depth to a basic white outfit. This glittering pearl and crystal bracelet is perfect for achieving an elegant look with timeless glamour.

Go to Gold

Luxurious and bold, the warm yellow hue of gold is a fashion favourite choice for accessories. A timeless classic, gold has a lasting appeal that always manages to work its way back on trend, and right now it’s at its peak. Whether wearing a bold piece or more intricate designs, gold is perfect for accessorising any look, whether it be everyday wear or to dress up an evening outfit.

Miranda Kerr; model, mum and Hollywood wife, features in this month’s issue of fashion-leading glossy magazine, Vogue. Looking stunning as ever, Kerr is snapped wearing an oversized coat teamed with a contrasting delicate gold St Christopher pendant - from our very own collection! Traditionally, St Christopher’s are worn in the belief that they will protect you on your travels, however, this elegantly crafted pendant, beautifully finished with a chiseled frame, will give your look a sophisticated finish on any occasion. Steal Miranda’s style and team with a short, simple chain, or pair it with a long chain and layer up for a more relaxed, statement look.

Perfect in the summer weather, the sweet and subtle glow of gold looks gorgeous against sun kissed skin. Perhaps one of the most versatile of all the metals, yellow gold can be complemented with neutral tones and vibrant shades, and  looks extra  glamorous when worn with black. Go for effortless New York chic with this bold watch by DKNY in a yellow gold, finished with glittering crystals and an iridescent mother of pearl dial.

The presence of crosses in jewellery has grown dramatically, from being worn purely as a symbolic piece of jewellery, to becoming a stylish motif that is used widely within the fashion world.  These 9ct gold cross stud earrings can give your look and edgy finish, with a simple design enhanced by decorative ends for that gothic spin. Versatile and bang on trend, these cross earrings are sure to become a much-loved staple in your jewellery collection.

The best way to do statement accessorising is undoubtedly in gold, and who better to turn to to rock the latest trends than one of our favourite fashion labels, Guess. This chic gold-plated necklace features a bold chain graduating towards a sparkling heart generously embellished with rich, gold tone crystals. Offering the perfect balance of glamour and distinction, this necklace makes for the perfect finishing touch to any outfit, day or night.

Glam Rock

Although talking about Autumn/Winter trends may seem like we are getting a little ahead of ourselves, there is one trend we are just too excited about to wait for… the return of punk! With festival season in full flow and with the arrival of our new jewellery brand Mikey London, now seems the perfect time to start experimenting with this look. This year the Met Ball paid tribute to this edgy trend with their ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ dress code. A host of celebrities all looked stunning as they swapped their red carpet gowns for something with a little more attitude.

Mikey London mixes great quality with great design, and has created a collection that consists of exciting, innovative and quirky pieces. If you want to fully embrace the punk spirit, then leather, tartan, rips and tears can all help to achieve this style; it’s all about breaking the accepted rules of fashion. Skulls appear on various pieces in Mikey London’s jewellery collection, and what can make you appear more rebellious than rocking a skull? This sleek silver toned bangle features a detailed skull on either end, perfect as a statement item of wristwear and great for layering with bracelets in a combination of textures.

Another skull piece from Mikey London perfect for finishing your punky look whether it’s day or evening, is this black skull pendant. Hanging from a simple ball chain, a single skull is adorned with sparkling black crystals, adding a little dash of sultry glamour to this fashion forward piece.

If you want a look that’s perhaps a little less rebellious, then skulls aren’t the only way to pull off the grunge/punk blend. The colour black is one of the first things that springs to mind when I think of this trend. This sparkling elastic bracelet with alternating black faceted beads and crystal set balls can give an edgy yet alluring finish to any look.

Of course when channeling your inner rock chic you can’t forget the all important studs and spikes. Sienna Miller and Cara Delevigne certainly didn’t, and looked dazzling in black jackets generously embellished with spikes. For a chic take on this punk inspired trend, Vince Camuto has created a collection of watches with studs featuring in just the right places. This stylish black and gold watch combines subtle touches of Swarovski crystal detailing and sleek black ceramic studs for the ultimate glam rock accessory.
